Kennewick was found in a mechanics garage in Kennewick, WA. No one knows how he ended up there. All they know is he had been inside that building for at least five days. WDFW was called in to capture him and they were ready to euthanize him, but WCH offered to give him a lifetime home.

(A very sick Kennewick)

(Kennewick today :)
When Mike Tuller & Tim Adams made the trip to Washington to pick him up they were stunned at his condition. He was emaciated (weighing less than 90 pounds) covered in ticks, with broken, bloody canines and his tail was torn and oozing blood. Despite his condition we were determined to do everything we could to save him.

After extensive dental surgery, vet care, a healthy diet and love, we are happy to report this 'throw away' cougar is thriving! He has more than doubled his weight in the past year and has settled in better than we would ever have imagined!

(Kennewick tries a different view)

(Where's Kennewick?)
Kennewick is still distrustful of us, but each day he relaxes a little bit more. He greets us at the fence for dinner every night and we see him playing with his ball and talking with DJ & Nada when he thinks we aren't looking :)

(Kenn says No!)
