DJ, one of our cougar rescues, came to us from Michigan along with another cougar, Nada. After living their entire lives in small cages inside a pole barn, their fate changed when local authorities found them. The authorities contacted The Wildcat Sanctuary in Minnesota, and they, in turn, asked if we could take them.
Working together, we brought both DJ and Nada 3,000 miles across the country to WildCat Haven. DJ is a sweet, gentle cat who is a true joy to be around. Despite living with severe arthritis caused from the neglect he endured, he continues to amaze us with his joy of life and his love for Nada. His world revolves around her, and we are so thankful they have each other.
