Neko was the first cougar to ever be placed at WildCat Haven. He was confiscated from an illegal breeder who was selling him and his brother, Noni, out of an apartment in Indiana. At approximately ten weeks of age, Neko weighed only eight pounds and could barely walk or lift his head.
After spending some time at a wildlife rehab center, Neko was well enough to come to WildCat Haven, with Noni following about a month later. Now happy and healthy adults, the boys continue to teach us when it comes to all things “cougar”. We’re greeted by chirps and purrs every day from these two very special wildcats!
