Sir Lynx-a-Lot (better known as Sir) is a Canadian Lynx who came to us when his owner became sick and could no longer care for him. She found our website and asked if we could give him a lifetime home. When he came to us, he weighed only 15 pounds and was in terrible condition. An improper diet, suggested to his owner by a local vet, left him with very poor muscle tone and metabolic bone disease. Sir’s favorite food was zucchini, and we struggled for several months getting him to eat a proper diet in order to correct his health problems.
He’s doing much better now, but he will always have digestion issues. He’s one of the most vocal cats at WildCat Haven, calling to us in that wonderful lynx “woo woo” that sounds remarkably like a hooting owl! Despite his on-going health problems, Sir is a happy, good-natured cat, and he has a love for life that’s impossible to resist.
