Kenya, an African Serval, came to live with us when he was eight months old. He was purchased as a kitten by a family who thought they wanted to add a more exotic cat to their household. They realized too late that a serval is not a pet. They were feeding him canned cat food and kept him in the laundry room with no room to exercise. We knew we had to give this boy a chance at a better life.
Kenya was the first serval we had ever worked with, and we are proud to say he’s flourished under our care. He taught us many things, and, because of him, we learned how to care for the rest of the servals that have come to us for a lifetime home.
